Students, teachers, administrators, parents, family, guardians, friends and more gathered at the Comox Valley Sports Centre June 26 to celebrate the class of 2024 at G.P. Vanier Secondary School.
Following the procession of grads, vice-principal Erica Black welcomed the large crowd to the commencement ceremony, followed by a welcome from Elder Donna Mitchell of the K'ómoks First Nation.
Valedictorians Sadie Williams and Ivan Hands provided a humours and inspirational speech to their cohort, then school administrators Dave Mayert, Jennifer Fritzsche and Black presented the graduating class with their diplomas.
