Tickets are now available for the 2024 Hometown Heroes Lottery, and once again, a Courtenay home package is among the grand prize options.
The Courtenay package, which includes a home in Greystone Estates (3230 Winchester Ave.), has a total value of more than $2.5 million.
The home itself is a 1,998 sq. ft, three-bedroom, two-bathroom rancher with a two-car garage. Also included in the package is a $50,000 Design Therapy Furniture package, a 2024 VW ID.4 Pro AWD electric SUV, two specialized Vado 3.0 electric bikes, $2,500 in Mount Washington Alpine Resort gift cards, $10,000 Crown Isle Pro Shop credit, and $775,000 in cash.
The Courtenay package is one of 10 grand prize options.
Other home package locations include Sooke, Vancouver, South Surrey, Burnaby, Langley, Chilliwack, West Kelowna and Lake Country. There is also a tax-free cash option of $2.2 million.
There are several early bird prizes throughout the contest.
The Welcome Bonus (deadline midnight, May 16) includes a choice of a 2024 Kia Seltos LX, or a $25,000 Travel Best Bets gift cards plus $6,000 cash, or $25,000 cash.
The Heroes Bonus (May 31 deadline) includes a choice of a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox LS, or a $35,000 Midland Appliance package plus $5,000 cash, or $35,000 cash.
The Summer Bonus (June 14 deadline) includes a 2024 Honda CRV EXL Hybrid, or $25,000 La-Z-Boy Furniture And Design package, $25,000 Travel Best Bets Gift Card and $10,000 Cash, or $50,000 cash.
The Early Bird Bonus (June 27 deadline) has a value of more than $170,000, with a choice of either a 2024 Tesla Model Y Plus 2024 Kia Niro Electriv SUV, or 10 years of vacations plus $20,000 spending money $125,000 cash.
Tickets for the 2024 Hometown Heroes Lottery are three for $75, seven for $129, 21 for $300, or 40 for $500. The are available online at tickets.heroeslottery.com/, by phone at 1-866-597-4376 (toll free) or in perswon at London Drugs.
The Early Bird Bonus also includes 50 winners of $500 cash each.
Additional prizes in the main draw include London Drugs, Tim Hortons and Esso gift cards.
In addition to the main ticket prizes, there is also a 50/50 Plus ticket option, as well as the Daily Cash Plus tickets.
The 50/50 Plus returns in 2024 and what a 50/50 it is. The 2023 jackpot reached $2,181,170, of which the winning ticket took half. 50/50 Plus tickets are two for $15, six for $30, 16 for $60, or 40 for $80.
The Daily Cash Plus tickets offer 105 days of winning, with prizes ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.
Tickets for the Daily Cash Plus are two for $25, six for $50, or 12 for $75.
(50/50 Plus and Daily Cash Plus tickets can only be purchased if a 2024 Heroes Lottery main ticket has been purchased.)
Main tickets are on sale until midnight, July 11. The grand prize draw date is July 30 at 9 a.m.
