After over a year of remote operations, the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce is set to open the Chamber Business Hub, a dynamic office space designed to empower local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Located at #103 - 576 England Ave. in Downtown Courtenay, the Chamber Business Hub offers a range of amenities including a 14-person boardroom, multi-functional workshop and event space and co-working desk rentals.

With a commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration, the chamber will partner with various member arts organizations throughout the year to showcase exhibitions of locally produced work. This initiative not only provides a platform for local artists but also enriches the community by providing cultural engagement.

The inaugural show will partner with Comox Valley Arts and feature the captivating works of two esteemed Comox Valley artists, Laurie Martz and Elaine Smith, both celebrated for their abstract paintings.

“We are excited to have Laurie Martz and Elaine Smith as the featured artists for this landmark event,” said CVArts executive director, Jenny Casey. “Their unique artistic expressions will undoubtedly enrich and enliven the chamber’s new office space.”

The Business Hub is dedicated to supporting the growth and success of entrepreneurs and non-profits in the Comox Valley. By building a comprehensive resource library, the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce offers valuable tools and information to help businesses thrive. The Hub will be open five days a week from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with staff onsite to provide support and assistance to small businesses and the community.

“The Comox Valley Chamber has always been committed to championing local business and fostering economic growth,” said Tracey Clarke, executive director. “The Chamber Business Hub represents an exciting new chapter in our mission to create a thriving business community. We invite entrepreneurs, artists and community members to join us on this journey.”

The grand opening of the Chamber Business Hub will be on Thursday, May 9, starting at 10 a.m. An official ribbon-cutting will take place at 5:30 p.m.
